Seeds I have to trade:

  • (partially updated 10-18-2014)
  • C = commercial - The year is either the growing season for which it was purchased or the year for which the seed was packaged.
  • T = trade - If there is a year, it is either the growing season for which I traded or the year the trader grew it, when available.
  • G = grown in my garden - The year is for the season I grew it. All items are open polllinated, unless otherwise stated, and the bees are busy.

  • Tree
  • Gleditsia triacanthos (I believe) Honeylocust (neighbor's tree, 2013)
  • Tecoma stans (I believe) - gathered in Phoenix in the spring of 2014. The seeds germinated readily. Of course, they're probably not hardy here.

  • Houseplants/Tropicals
  • Aechmea fasciata (maybe) Bromeliad --> Silver Vase, Urn Plant - These seeds are from my cousin's houseplant that set seed in 2013. Update: I planted some of these January 12 and noticed January 24 that they had started germinating. As of January 31, 20 out of 21 emerged. As of September 11, 2014, these are cute little Urn Plants. closeup

  • Ornamentals

  • Since our house is pink, I tend to shy away from orange flowers. Other than that, I like pretty much everything! Flowers that feed the birds, bees and butterflies are a plus. So is anything with a nice fragrance. I just started working on an area of dry shade under a large green ash tree. I'd like to add some smallish shrubs (up to 6' or so) that have berries or similar for winter bird forage. Thank you for looking!
