  • In 2008, these are not ready for trading yet. I'm putting them in here because... just because! No, seriously, so people considering buying these can ask about them. For example, of all my black daylilies, only 'Night Wings' is closest to black, and 'Derrick Cane' comes in second.

  • Hyacinth 'Madam Sophie' -- 1929 white double, ordered for fall 2006 failed, apparently due to pot planting; planted replacements fall 2007 for successful 2008 bloom.
  • Hyacinth 'Marie' -- 1860 indigo single, ordered for fall 2006 failed, apparently due to pot planting. Only one came up and bloomed; great deep color, truly indigo. Planted replacements fall 2007 for successful 2008 bloom; ordered more fall 2008 and all bloomed 2009
  • Rose 'Sophy's Rose' or 'Sophie's Rose' -- red, David Austin, (2006 Dutch Gardens spring) POOR PERFORMER -- dead, dead, dead
  • Gladiolus 'Sophie' -- white, (2006 Dutch Gardens spring) lasted one season in pots
  • Daylily 'Sophia Payne' -- voluptuous pink in Logbed2

  • Unidentified #5 two plants from original clump, look vaguely undulata-like but much smaller, viridesced in 2007; may be Masquerade; planted in NW2 at wall base for upper north tier
  • Unidentified #6 mini, dark and streaky; think this is 'Geisha' = 'Ani Machi'; Center-R
  • Unidentified #7 great big gold, akin to Squash Casserole or similar. Planted along house west wall.

  • These cannot be traded while they are being watched for HVX. The Hosta Library identifies four of these eight as having some batches identified with HVX, and Gold Standard as having a high number of infected batches. Krossa Regals have been found to carry a second virus as well.
