Seeds I have to trade:

  • For some reason I cannot post on exchanges under my original GW name, which is gardenunusual. If the link below doesn't work, please see what I have to trade following the link: thanks for the interest in trading.
  • members.gardenweb.com/members/exch/gardenunusual
  • garden 2012:
  • nigella - blue and white mix
  • rose campion
  • unknown daylily- i asked my friend what color they were, she said, maybe peachish yellow?
  • heirloom hollyhock - pink with yellow center - i was receiving snake plants from a very nice couple that didn't have room for them anymore, and spotted this hollyhock, still blooming after a heavy frost. Their home was a very old farm, the soil I swear is blessed, and he had cleaned up these seeds ready to throw out. I told him I enjoyed sharing seeds and he let me take them all.
  • penstemon - huskers red
  • limon hot pepper
  • red peter pepper
  • alma paprika
  • yellow cayenne
  • red cayenne
  • I have a ton of garlic. I had my soil tested, so any garlic that comes to me be prepared for questions :) Going through it ready to plant, I realize I have way too much. Rocamboles, Artichoke, Purple Stripe, Porcelain varieties available. Too many to list
  • I have many iris, depending on what is prolific from year to year, I will list them when available, and they will be named or no-id with colors.

Seeds I am looking for:

  • What do I want? I'm totally open, I would love to keep truly endangered varieties alive, with a few frivolous wants :)
  • Well, I'd really love a pink garlic like Rose du Lautrec or Nootka Rose or your favorite
  • adzuki beans, the red bean that the Chinese use for desserts and such.
  • Tanya's pink podded pole bean - well, it's my namesake
  • endangered garlic
  • historic iris, the older the better, must be named
  • tasty hot peppers that are good for making hot sauce, fresh eating, strange shapes, or your favorite!
  • maybe a sweet pepper that is good for frying that is easy to grow
  • Beans - open - I am new to seed saving, would love some that I can dry or eat fresh.
  • green rhubarb
  • white/yellow strawberry
  • anything good for making jam
  • blue flowers
  • Colchicum

Plants I have to trade:

  • check back 2013

Plants I am looking for:

  • I don't have a plan for my garden, I just plant what interests me. My dream would be to grow figs, olives, grapes, quince, pears, apples, paw paw, huckleberries, elderberries, tobacco, hops, anything for winter interest, blue flowers
  • If I can keep a houseplant alive I'd be very happy. Your easy to care for healthy favorites that do not require a ton of warmth or attention are welcome.
