Seeds I am looking for:
- Asarina in red/magenta shades
- Berlandiera lyrata(chocolate daisy)
- Cosmos "Sonata White"
- Cobaea scandens (Cup and saucer vine, purple)
- Eccremocarpus scaber (Chilean glory vine)
- Mandevilla laxa or M. suaveolens (fragrant)
- Matthiola bicornis subsp longipetala (Evening scented stock)
- Mimulus cardinalis
- Passiflora (Passion flower)
- Rhodochiton atrosanguineum (Purple bell vine)
- Salvia coccinea "Coral Nymph"
- Thunbergia battiscombei(aka Blue Glory, Blue Sky vine)
- Talinum paniculatum variegata (white-variegated)
- Renter = looking mostly for annuals/tender perennials. Not allowed to make major permanent changes to the yard.
- I like bright colors, sweet fragrances, & the tropical look.
- Have hummingbirds :)
- Have eternally-hungry deer, not allowed to fence. :(
- Not planting veggies because of deer. And rabbits.
- Soil is rocky clay, with swampy spots.
- I also container grow.
- Have both sunny and shady spots to plant.
- My only "deer-safe" spot is full shade, containers in driveway. (This is where I keep my fuchsias.)
- Neighbors upstairs and next door have toddlers, looking to avoid thorny plants.
- Sweet peas hate my climate. Tried three years in a row. :(
Plants I have to trade:
- Note: My climate is only guaranteed frost-free from June through September. I prefer to not mail cuttings when they are likely to be frozen in transit.
- Fancy leaved pelargoniums:
- "Crystal Palace Gem"
- NOID with white leaf margins, semi-double red blooms
- NOID tricolor with single scarlet blooms
- Fuchsia triphylla - two NOIDs, one with salmon/coral blooms and the other with slightly larger, darker orange-red blooms. Leaves are a darker green on the dark-flowered one.
- Fragrant white heliotrope (arborescens type, this is not valerian. Also comes in purple. I also have purple "Fragrant Delight" but no cuttings available yet.)
- Have rooted cuttings of two pineapple sages (S. elegans),
- "Golden Delicious" and "Honey Melon."
- May be able to trade more tender sages. All are cut back for winter now, so it's hard to tell which are dormant and which are simply dead.
Plants I am looking for:
- Agastache "Ava" (my sister's name! and a lovely plant)
- Brugmansia - esp. looking for "Charles Grimaldi" - I need a "beginner's brug"
- Heuchera - Coral bells, red flowers
- "Persian Queen" pelargonium (lime green leaves, magenta flowers)
- Salvia oxyphora
- Thunbergia battiscombei(aka Blue Glory, Blue Sky vine, Clock vine)[This seems a better size for me than T. grandiflora]
