Seeds I have to trade:

  • Something here was throwing my list off, I am going to have to redo it after this growing season.
  • I needed to update it anyway and since it is so messed up I will just work on it as I get seeds for the 2014 (for 2015) season collected.
  • I haven't been doing one on one trades anyway, only group trades so it really shouldn't matter much ;)
  • I hope everyone has a wonderful 2014 season, with all the great things I have gotten through trading throughout 2013 and already in 2014 (some purchased) I hope to have a great many seeds available at the end of 2014!!!
  • Garden on folks!!!

Seeds I am looking for:

  • ^^^^^^WARNING: LIST IS LONG!!!^^^^^^
  • Looking for any NORTH CAROLINA NATIVE PLANTS/SEEDS I have an area in my woods I want to naturalize and I want to only put native plants in there to preserve them.

  • As far as flowers go, I am open to most anything but DO NOT WANT REG. COMMON MORNING GLORY, they grow wild and rampant here. Would love the Japanese varieties. NO OTHER INVASIVES PLEASE.
  • I am wanting any black/chocolate flowering or black/purple/red or dark foliage plants, red blooming and/pink blooming and LOVE variegated plants.
  • NASTURTIUMS.....wanted any and all I love those.
  • I prefer to have named plants/seeds but am usually happy with any of the more unusual items.
  • Poppies, I am looking for any named poppies.
  • I plan to put in a WHITE flower garden (do not need Shasta daisy/ white yarrow), Red/Pink flower garden and a black flower garden, this includes black blooming plants and dark foliage plants and a variegated garden, this will include anything with variegation in the leaves EXCEPT invasive species, next year.
  • I don't need anything invasive, I already have common morning glories everywhere, green perilla everywhere, a form of Persicaria growing all over this year, yellow blooming purslane and a few other invasive weeds I just can not seem to get rid of.
  • DO NOT NEED ANYMORE WHITE MOONFLOWER SEEDS......a friend gave me a bunch and have gotten a lot in swaps lately.

  • My list is limited at the moment because I am basically starting my garden over because of 2012 and a bad year in 2011. 2012 brought a year of not being able to see, I had cataracts so bad. I couldn't see to garden.
  • 2013 I have spent most of the year fighting all the weeds that dropped seeds in 2012. Then we had the 4th wettest spring and summer since records have been kept. I struggled to keep up with them all.
  • I am hoping 2014 is so much better on the weeds, I welcomed the rain, I will not complain about that I just wasn't happy with all the weeds it helped germinate.

Plants I am looking for:

  • Font color=red>I love colored leaved and variegated plants, no ivy though, PLEASE...I love most all plants unless they are invasive or an aggressive grower.

  • ~~~Polemonium-Jacob's Ladder~~~

  • Jacobs ladder is propagated by division (easy in the early spring) or seed (again easy). The named varieties are best divided as they don't come true from seed.
  • P. reptans is a short 12 inch tall species can become weedy
  • 'Blue Pearl' is a light blue form and quite short.
  • 'White Pearl' is a dwarf white
  • 'Pink Beauty'is 12 to 18 inches tall with rose flowers
  • 'Lambrook Mauve'grows 12 to 18 inches, lilac flowers on reddish stems. Good bloomer.
  • 'Stairway to Heaven' is one of the best variegated plants
  • P. caeruleum subspecies amygdalinum
  • 'Brise d'Anjou' fern-like leaves are edged in yellow flowers mid-blue. very popular but tends to die quickly when weather turns too hot.
  • 'Snow and Sapphire'is variant of 'Brise d'Anjou' that is more weather tolerant. While 'Brise d'Anjou' “melts out” in high heat and dies, 'Snow and Sapphire' takes more punishment.
  • P. caeruleum subspecies himalayanum, a slightly taller form of Polemonium with deep blue flowers.
